About Counseling for the Kingdom
with Jake Parker
Welcome to Counseling for the Kingdom! I’m Jake Parker - a husband and a father, but most importantly a child of the one true King. My passion is helping marriages, families, and individuals stay focused on the Kingdom in an uncertain world. I believe that the only way we can find true freedom from the weight of this world is through God. My heart is to help others uncover the abundant life Christ has for us through the application of biblical principles. Let’s journey together through forgiveness, healing, and restoration in pursuit of spiritual transformation.
Since the beginning of my walk with Christ, He has intentionally orchestrated my steps in leading me to where I am today. Over the last thirty years, I have walked through many different seasons of life including coaching families in Taekwondo, getting my master’s degree in business administration and being a professional golf coach. All of these things have had one thing in common - they have allowed me the opportunity to point people back to Christ. This new season of life allows me to apply the skills I’ve been equipped with to do this with more focus and passion. I’m eager to come alongside you to uncover where you are and more importantly, where you are headed and how we get there.
As I step into this next chapter, the Lord continues to put James 1:5 on my heart. “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” He has given us all of the instruction and direction we need, I am just here as a vessel for His Kingdom to help provide clarity and direction through Christian Lay Counseling.
